Zoo Negara, also known as Zoo KL, is Malaysia’s national zoo located in Ulu Klang Selangor, near Kuala Lumpur. It was officially opened in 1963 and is managed by the Malaysian Zoological Society.
Zoo Negara covers about 110 acres of land and houses more than 5,000 animals from over 400 species, including mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, and fish. The zoo aims to promote wildlife conservation, education, and research while providing visitors with the opportunity to learn about animals from around the world.
One of the main attractions of the zoo is the Giant Panda Conservation Centre, where visitors can see the famous giant pandas Giant Panda Xing Xing and Liang Liang.
